We really can't believe how fast time flew by- I guess it IS so true that time flies when you're having the time of your life :D
As we make our way back home to Perth, after 9 months of being on the road- travelling around Australia, we can't help but feel so grateful.. Grateful for having gotten to live out a lifelong dream we had. Grateful for all the beautiful places we got to see.. Grateful for all the amazing people we met and the unforgettable experiences we had.. Grateful to our beloved Patrol for being our home for the last 9 months and taking us safely around Australia (even when we really pushed its' limits :P ). And grateful to everyone- our friends, family and colleagues that helped to make this trip of a lifetime possible :D
A special thank you to each and every one of our subscribers for the love and support you showed us by watching and commenting on our videos. Whether you were with us from the start, joined along the way or just discovered our videos- even after our lap has ended- we are so thankful that you joined this adventure along with us.
So what's next for us? Honestly we have been thinking a lot about this. We absolutely LOVED creating and sharing these videos with you and would love to keep in touch with you. But the main highlight in Quobba was seeing the migrating whales. We saw like 10 humpback whales and some were even with their calves. It was such a majestic moment to see them far away and up close with our drone.

This week we take you along to one of the most unique station stays we have experienced- at Bullara Station WA. While we were barely able to book 1 night in at the station during peak holiday season, we're so glad that they were able to squeeze us in, as we LOVED how unique, rustic and truly outback everything was.
We then travelled to Exmouth and snorkelled at Oyster shacks and Turquoise bay- where Wanya got to fulfil one of her lifelong dreams of swimming with a turtle.

In this video we share our favourite hike on the Gibb River Road (and probably all of Australia). Let us explain why -
This hike had everything we love- from a fun (but deep) river crossing to get to the trail itself, a partially shaded 7.2 km return track that involves climbing over steep rock walls, with a particularly challenging- almost 3m rock that you have to get over at the halfway point, to an amazing sheltered plunge pool at the very end (which we had all to ourselves). This hike is the most fun we've had in a long time and we both agreed (after much discussion and debate) that it's our all time fav!

We're so excited to share our Gibb River Road travel vlogs with you! This track has been on our bucket list for almost 5 years and this video alone will show you why! This 660km- mostly gravel road between Derby and Kununurra in Western Australia is a beast and is accessible only by 4WD. The road conditions are very much dependant on weather and to give you an idea - although the region was bright and sunny for the entirety of 10 days we spent there, majority of the track was closed off the very next week due to unseasonal rain.
That being said, if you time it right and have a 4WD, we can't recommend it enough as this track paves way to some of the best gorges in all of WA. Starting with Amalia Gorge in El Questro- we slowly made our way towards Derby and hope you'll enjoy these vlogs of some of our hikes.

Crossing back over to Western Australia has been bitter sweet. we've been missing WA which has been our home for the past 5 years- the stunning destinations, the country town feels, laidback folk, friends- connections, but we're also sad as this means we're almost coming to the end of our 9 month lap around Australia. We've got a few more weeks more of exploring our own backyard on this lap.
We're finally getting to see some amazing locations in the Kimberley which we've had in our bucket list for the last 5 years! That excitement is keeping us going but we know that this border crossing means we're at the beginning of the end. it's hard to put what we're feeling in to words- so for now- all we'll say is that it's good to be back.

We really can't believe how fast time flew by- I guess it IS so true that time flies when you're having the time of your life :D
As we make our way back home to Perth, after 9 months of being on the road- travelling around Australia, we can't help but feel so grateful.. Grateful for having gotten to live out a lifelong dream we had. Grateful for all the beautiful places we got to see.. Grateful for all the amazing people we met and the unforgettable experiences we had.. Grateful to our beloved Patrol for being our home for the last 9 months and taking us safely around Australia (even when we really pushed its' limits :P ). And grateful to everyone- our friends, family and colleagues that helped to make this trip of a lifetime possible :D
A special thank you to each and every one of our subscribers for the love and support you showed us by watching and commenting on our videos. 5:: Watching Whales for the FIRST time | Quobba Station | Blowholes | King Waves Kill | WA Travel Vlog

But the main highlight in Quobba was seeing the migrating whales. We saw like 10 humpback whales and some were even with their calves. It was such a majestic moment to see them far away and up close with our drone.

This week we take you along to one of the most unique station stays we have experienced- at Bullara Station WA. While we were barely able to book 1 night in at the station during peak holiday season, we're so glad that they were able to squeeze us in, as we LOVED how unique, rustic and truly outback everything was.
We then travelled to Exmouth and snorkelled at Oyster shacks and Turquoise bay- where Wanya got to fulfil one of her lifelong dreams of swimming with a turtle.

In this video we share our favourite hike on the Gibb River Road (and probably all of Australia). Let us explain why -
This hike had everything we love- from a fun (but deep) river crossing to get to the trail itself, a partially shaded 7.2 km return track that involves climbing over steep rock walls, with a particularly challenging- almost 3m rock that you have to get over at the halfway point, to an amazing sheltered plunge pool at the very end (which we had all to ourselves). This hike is the most fun we've had in a long time and we both agreed (after much discussion and debate) that it's our all time fav!

We're so excited to share our Gibb River Road travel vlogs with you! This track has been on our bucket list for almost 5 years and this video alone will show you why! This 660km- mostly gravel road between Derby and Kununurra in Western Australia is a beast and is accessible only by 4WD. The road conditions are very much dependant on weather and to give you an idea - although the region was bright and sunny for the entirety of 10 days we spent there, majority of the track was closed off the very next week due to unseasonal rain.
That being said, if you time it right and have a 4WD, we can't recommend it enough as this track paves way to some of the best gorges in all of WA. Starting with Amalia Gorge in El Questro- we slowly made our way towards Derby and hope you'll enjoy these vlogs of some of our hikes.

Crossing back over to Western Australia has been bitter sweet. we've been missing WA which has been our home for the past 5 years- the stunning destinations, the country town feels, laidback folk, friends- connections, but we're also sad as this means we're almost coming to the end of our 9 month lap around Australia. We've got a few more weeks more of exploring our own backyard on this lap.
We're finally getting to see some amazing locations in the Kimberley which we've had in our bucket list for the last 5 years! That excitement is keeping us going but we know that this border crossing means we're at the beginning of the end. it's hard to put what we're feeling in to words- so for now- all we'll say is that it's good to be back.

The Northern Territory, North West Queensland and Kimberley region in Western Australia is full of these magnificent beasts- and while we never wanna run in to one while we're in the water-we were lucky enough to get to see them up close while on a jumping crocodile tour.

Safe to say that we started our Northern Territory travels with a bang- with the amazing BITTER SPRINGS! Although you'll have several thermal pools to choose from- including the famous Mataranka hot springs, bitter springs ended up being our favourite! This spot is less crowded (comparatively), more spacious, had more marine life to look at and had the clearest water ever! We also take you along to see Eden falls and one of our favourite sunset spots- Baruwei lookout- in this vlog.

25:: SNORKELLING ON THE GREAT BARRIER REEF | Must do things in Queensland Australia

Yep- you've read the title right- we ticked off yet another bucket list item in Queensland by snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef! Ever since we watched Finding Nemo as kids and saw just how beautiful corals can be we wanted to see this 'GREAT' (pun intended) coral reef with our own eyes.
And although Queensland provides plenty of opportunities for you to see the reef - departing from multiple locations- we seemed to have caught it on a bad weather patch everywhere we went as every time we tried to see it- the tours kept getting cancelled. FINALLY after several weeks of trying, we were able to catch a break- getting on the experience of a lifetime with the tour company- Passions of Paradise.

Whilst Babinda Boulders has racked up a name for itself as one of the most popular swimming holes in tropical North Queensland - it also has a dark side- being one of the deadliest places in the region with over 20 drowning deaths in these pools in recent times.
