I called it "The Ether Carnival" because of the facts that most sounds are Ether recordings and i had "The Devils Carnival" by Darren Lynn Bousman on my mind a lot while putting this together. I think because of it's "vibe" :D

When I stopped working on this piece the other day I thought I would expand it a bit with some piano stuff and add more love to the hi hats. After listening to it a few times I realized that I really like the minimalistic approach and decided to leave it as it is.

At the end this is the outcome.
I used samples i recorded from the DFAM for kick and snare.
At least it got some groove after adding a heavy destructed tambourine loop.

I recorded 1 minute of what the machine created and made an athmosphere out of it by using Devious Machines Infiltrator. Then i layerd it with the original recording and added some stereo processing to the root loop.

I was working on the lead pad when i got inspired by somebody telling me how beautiful the smell of rain is in the morning. So i sat down and tried to create the sound of rain...for fckn hours!!! 🙂
This is the outcome and in my opinion the best ambient work i've done until now.

Loaded both onto the Digitakt, reversed and looped them infinitely, locked a few triggers and got this little ambient jam out of it.
