There could not be a finer tribute to David Howardâs career and teaching of Ballet than this exquisite video. There could not be a finer tribute to David Howard’s career and teaching of Ballet than this exquisite video. Shot with great care and attention to detail, no corners were cut in the making of the 76 minute DVD. The class starts with David’s trad mark warm-up exercises which he did before every class. This is followed by four professional dancers performing every exercise of a complete Barre and Center including turns and jumps along with several pointe exercises. The video ends with an in depth discussion about how to fit and use the pointe shoe by Mary Carpenter one of David’s star pupils. If you ever took class with David Howard either at the numerous conventions and workshops he appeared at or in his very successful studio in NYC, this video will take you back to a magical unique time.
