'Sarnia' is a traditional Latin name for the island, hence, the title translates as 'Dear Guernsey'. George Deighton wrote Sarnia Cherie in 1911, with Domenico Santangelo composing the tune later the same year. The song was first performed at St. Julian's Theatre – which is now the Gaumont Cinema – in November 1911.
The anthem can be heard on a number of occasions each year, every 9 May Liberation Day, at Island Games gold medal ceremonies, National Trust of Guernsey Viaër Marchi, inter-island sporting events, etc.

Kimi ga yo est l'hymne officiel du Japon. Ce poème, adressé à l'empereur du Japon, est un waka, ancien style poétique japonais de l'Époque de Heian. L'auteur en est inconnu. Par la longueur du texte, il est le plus court hymne national dans le monde.

Els Segadors ist ein altes katalanisches Volkslied. Es war lange Zeit eine inoffizielle Nationalhymne Kataloniens. The song was composed by Sam Williams and U.S. Virgin Island native Alton Adams in the 1920s. It served as the unofficial anthem of the U.S. Virgin Islands until 1963 when it was officially recognized by Legislative Act. The song itself is a brisk martial march, consisting of an introductory instrumental section followed by a very cheerful melody. On most occasions the first verse followed by the last verse are sung.
Since the U.S. Virgin Islands is a U.S. insular territory, the national anthem is still "The Star-Spangled Banner".

'Sarnia' is a traditional Latin name for the island, hence, the title translates as 'Dear Guernsey'. George Deighton wrote Sarnia Cherie in 1911, with Domenico Santangelo composing the tune later the same year. The song was first performed at St. Julian's Theatre – which is now the Gaumont Cinema – in November 1911.
The anthem can be heard on a number of occasions each year, every 9 May Liberation Day, at Island Games gold medal ceremonies, National Trust of Guernsey Viaër Marchi, inter-island sporting events, etc.

Der Text stammt von Daniel Bashiel Warner, die Musik komponierte Olmstead Luca. Luca komponierte die Musik zur Hymne erst 1860, der Text war bereits zur Unabhängigkeitserklärung im Jahre 1847 zur Nationalhymne erklärt worden.

Kimi ga yo est l'hymne officiel du Japon. Ce poème, adressé à l'empereur du Japon, est un waka, ancien style poétique japonais de l'Époque de Heian. L'auteur en est inconnu. Par la longueur du texte, il est le plus court hymne national dans le monde.

Els Segadors ist ein altes katalanisches Volkslied. Es war lange Zeit eine inoffizielle Nationalhymne Kataloniens. Seit 1931 ist es auf Beschluss der Generalitat (der Selbstverwaltung der autonomen Region Katalonien) die offizielle Nationalhymne Kataloniens, wobei zunächst eine Festlegung auf eine der beiden geläufigen Textvarianten vermieden wurde. 1937 wurde auch der Text verbindlich festgelegt.
Das Lied geht auf den Aufstand der Schnitter (1640–1652) gegen das habsburgisch-spanische Kaiserhaus zurück. Es stellt einen eindringlichen Aufruf an alle Katalanen dar, ihr Land, ihr Volk und ihre Werte zu verteidigen. Es ist durch einen ernsten und feierlichen Duktus charakterisiert.
