On September 4th this Cessna Citation 551 crashed into the Baltic Sea, on board was the Cologne carnivalist Peter Griesemann, his wife, the daughter and the daughter's friend. The Cessna reported pressure problems after takeoff and was no longer accessible via Spain. Spanish and French fighter jets took off and accompanied them to German airspace, where German Bundeswehr Eurofighters then escorted the Cessna to the Baltic Sea, whereupon 2 F16s from Lithuania took over. The pilots say they didn't see anyone on board. the cessna then crashed into the baltic sea, probably due to lack of fuel, ahead of the fighter pilots. The wreckage was found but there is no trace of the family.

Die piloten sagen sie hƤtten keine personen an board gesegen. die cessna stĆ¼rzte daraufhin wahrscheinlich wegen treibstoffmangel vor den kampjetpiloten in die ostsee.
