Then they fed us sandwiches π£π£π£, it turns out we were entitled . I had endured a 4 hour+ travel, some of it had dried, given when I got there I needed to pray. Not enough nice/posh biscuits , but horrible dominance of Gluten free small crumb sized cake and biscuits and only for a short period of time available, coffee/tea machines constantly being shut off.
No regular small breaks or arrangement for us to find what we missed may be recording given the short Winter days and Muslim prayer times. Infact no acknowldgemtn of waht we want to eat or our prayer times!!!! π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘
Muslim Members had to find for themselves as Per Brother N or me make requests for Prayer facilities. They seem to not realise some of the UK universities have great facilities.
A big shout out to Aston Uni, and its ISOC one of the best prayer facilities the carpet could look more prayer carpet but everythingβs well organised and so comfy the prayer carpet and room so well kept, wudu facilities.
UCU staff completely unaware of what we need, shame on them, I want my subscription refunded!!!! Indirect Islamophobia and Racism!!!!!π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘
The Gen Sec credit to her had gone to Palestine, Masha Allah but as our members said she could have had video link or pre-recorded chat.
Clearly Jo Grady doesnβt respect her Black Members , why should she, if we get treated this way and we still vote for white former president is fine to spy, then we need to ask ourselves where is our belief in our power.
No body ever invites me to speak, I invite me, and Alhamdulillah I had got the biggest clap and I asked to get myself recorded, none of the UCU staff wanted to help me so a kind Sister Member did!
UCU Black Members Conference is demonstration of UCUβs leadership and organisation lack of regard for its Black members and its blatant structural racism and clearly it doesnβt provide decent equality training and we have no idea what happened to TUCβs Brother Wilf Sullivan, a respected trade unionist, they provided no explanation.

As can be seen this so called picket had hardly any actual workers who are supposed to be striking. Instead it was used for 'teach out ' by a UCU officer. πππ The career activists who can be seen in other rallies were there. What on earth this is no body knows.
The actual Professional Services care about equality, the white old man Branch Secretary does not represent the actual workers facing structural racism, where most of of the hierarchy is white, the Unions themselves are even more stubborn. Clearly in HEI colleagues have comfortable jobs so most are not bothered about pay if so they would have turned up. But Equality people do care about but Union doesn't. Global Majority is not on union priority list. They actively salience these members, keep them out of position.

Prof Jim Todd (LSHTM- UCU) - for encouraging me to go, I kind of didn't towards the end as I was being bullied and beaten down by !
Dr Marion Hersh ( Glasgow UCU ) - for telling me to offer solutions instead of constant complaints, I agree!
Brother Glenroy 'the legend' Watson ( RMT) - I copied one of his excellent idea where he said governance structures like council's where lack of Political Black people then a position can be reserved.
Brother Akic Lwaldeng (King's College London Unison) - as per this iconic photo of him, he told us you can go and speak if you want, so I know I will go there and speak, but they had not lectern.

I say my brown Muslim Sister has a name!!!
Then they fed us sandwiches 😣😣😣, it turns out we were entitled . I had endured a 4 hour+ travel, some of it had dried, given when I got there I needed to pray. Not enough nice/posh biscuits , but horrible dominance of Gluten free small crumb sized cake and biscuits and only for a short period of time available, coffee/tea machines constantly being shut off.
No regular small breaks or arrangement for us to find what we missed may be recording given the short Winter days and Muslim prayer times. Infact no acknowldgemtn of waht we want to eat or our prayer times!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Muslim Members had to find for themselves as Per Brother N or me make requests for Prayer facilities. They seem to not realise some of the UK universities have great facilities.
A big shout out to Aston Uni, and its ISOC one of the best prayer facilities the carpet could look more prayer carpet but everything’s well organised and so comfy the prayer carpet and room so well kept, wudu facilities.
UCU staff completely unaware of what we need, shame on them, I want my subscription refunded!!!! Indirect Islamophobia and Racism!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
The Gen Sec credit to her had gone to Palestine, Masha Allah but as our members said she could have had video link or pre-recorded chat.
Clearly Jo Grady doesn’t respect her Black Members , why should she, if we get treated this way and we still vote for white former president is fine to spy, then we need to ask ourselves where is our belief in our power.
No body ever invites me to speak, I invite me, and Alhamdulillah I had got the biggest clap and I asked to get myself recorded, none of the UCU staff wanted to help me so a kind Sister Member did!
UCU Black Members Conference is demonstration of UCU’s leadership and organisation lack of regard for its Black members and its blatant structural racism and clearly it doesn’t provide decent equality training and we have no idea what happened to TUC’s Brother Wilf Sullivan, a respected trade unionist, they provided no explanation.

This highlights the broader issue of people like me with religious view are not welcome by the wider exclusive activist community.
I will keep with my Islamic faith values.
The activist community does not wish to diversify, no wonder there are not many like me.
My words might not have been the best chosen, but my faith principle remains the same and the points that activist community needs to diversify and accept multiple people with view different to it's.

As can be seen this so called picket had hardly any actual workers who are supposed to be striking. Instead it was used for 'teach out ' by a UCU officer. 🙄🙄🙄 The career activists who can be seen in other rallies were there. What on earth this is no body knows.
The actual Professional Services care about equality, the white old man Branch Secretary does not represent the actual workers facing structural racism, where most of of the hierarchy is white, the Unions themselves are even more stubborn. Clearly in HEI colleagues have comfortable jobs so most are not bothered about pay if so they would have turned up. But Equality people do care about but Union doesn't. Global Majority is not on union priority list. They actively salience these members, keep them out of position.
Not sure who the IWGB president came to show solidarity too. 😂
