Was wäre unser Porzellan ohne die vielen leckeren Gerichte, die darin und darauf serviert werden. Über 80 leckere Rezepte haben sich unsere Köchin und Köche ausgedacht. Die mussten natürlich erstmal gekocht und fotografiert werden. Wie man in unserem Making-of-Film sieht, hat es Spaß gemacht und weckt hoffentlich auch die Lust bei Dir, gleich mal das eine oder andere Gericht auszuprobieren. Manchmal hat man aber eine Vorahnung. So geht es einem unserer Protagonisten. Da liegt ein komischer Geruch in der Luft und der plüschige Osterhase vom letzten Jahr sieht ein bisschen ramponiert aus. Irgendwas ist anders als sonst, das ist klar – aber was? Wenn es auf Nachfrage erstmal heißt: „Das habe ich Dir noch nicht erzählt, weil ich Dich eigentlich überraschen wollte“ … darf man wohl wirklich sehr gespannt sein. Wenn die Überraschung dann auch gleich schwanzwedelnd um die Ecke kommt … spätestens dann weiß man, dass sich ein paar Dinge im Leben ändern werden: Mehr Spaß, ein neuer Freund und öfters an die frische Luft. Ok, wir sind ja Profis und machen das nicht zum ersten Mal. Aber wie das in kreativen Prozessen nun mal ist, sorgen nicht selten gerade die Planänderungen für noch bessere Ergebnisse. Wer unseren TASSEN-Film DER LIEBESSCHWUR schon gesehen hat, weiß wovon die Rede ist. Es geht darum, im richtigen Moment die passenden Worte zu finden – also wie sag ich es am besten. Das haben wir uns auch gefragt, als wir bei unserem langjährigen Wegbegleiter Chris Groneberg im Studio waren. Der Text für den Liebesschwur war klar, aber mit welchem Dialekt schaffen wir das Momentum. Anscheinend haben wir den richtigen Ton getroffen. Ihr liebt den Film und wir sind glücklich darüber, denn dafür machen wir ja das Ganze. And since we’ve been to this rodeo before, we usually come well prepared before stepping into the booth. Then again, the creative process can take on a life of its own, so a swift change of direction can sometimes yield even better results in the end. That was also the case in our brand-new TASSEN movie, THE OATH OF LOVE. It’s all about finding the right words at the right time, and how to express one’s emotions correctly. With this in mind, we stepped into the session at the studio of our long-time friend and collaborator, Chris Groneberg. In a fun and creative atmosphere, we settled into finding the right accent and pronunciation to bring the message of love across in true TASSEN style. We’re really happy with the final film and also want to share some behind-the-scenes footage from the studio recordings. Mit dieser Frage beschäftigen sich die Menschen schon seit Jahrhunderten. Die Antwort darauf zu finden, ist nicht einfach und oft ein langer Prozess. Schließlich gehört dazu auch die Neugier, sich selbst zu entdecken und mal ganz entspannt die eigenen Stärken und Schwächen zu reflektieren. Völlig entschleunigt und in tiefer Meditation versunken hat sich auch unsere Schale gefragt, wer sie denn eigentlich sein möchte und dabei ganz neue Seiten an sich entdeckt. Das gilt auch für das Völkchen beseelter Charaktere, die an unserer bisher weitgehend unerforschten Welt der Decke leben. Meistens unbeachtet sind die dort oben vorwitzig unterwegs und erkunden ihr Terrain. Dass man dabei im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes jedoch ganz schnell mal in einem unerwarteten Schlamassel stecken kann, musste auch HAPPY HERMANN lernen. ··· ··· ··· ··· Behind the Scenes 3 Jahre. So lang war die Entwicklungszeit der ersten CEELINGS-Produkte von der Idee bis zum Launch im Oktober 2020. Wie es mit Weltneuheiten so ist, kann man auf nichts zurückgreifen. Alles will neu erfunden werden. Bis die HAND DES LICHTS oder HAPPY HERMANN bei Dir an der Decke hängen, müssen komplexe Arbeitsschritte ineinandergreifen. „Made in Germany“ war von Anfang an unser Ziel. Am Ende haben wir auch das noch optimiert – alles wird im Umkreis von 30 km um Frankfurt am Main erledigt. Ökologisch und sozialverträglich. Das Design in unserem Animationsstudio, Ingenieurskunst beim Werkzeugbau, High Tech- Spritzguss in der Produktion und zu guter Letzt die Konfektionierung in der Behindertenwerkstatt. That's how long it took to develop our product line of CEELINGS from an initial idea into the market entry in October 2020. As is the nature of world novelty products, there was no precedent to rely on. Everything needed to be imagined and invented from scratch. So before the HANDFUL OF LIGHT and HAPPY HERMANN where ready to ornament ceilings in homes across the world, a number of complex development steps needed to be completed. Right from the start, we knew that realizing production entirely ‘Made in Germany’ was one of the main goals for this product line. Ultimately, we even upped the ante by implementing the entire production within a 30-kilometer radius of our headquarters in Frankfurt. Sustainable and according to social standards. This includes the design in our animation studio, the engineering craftsmanship in tool design, manufacturing with high-tech injection molding and finally packaging in a sheltered workshop here in the area.
