··· ··· ··· ··· I am still very early days on the electric cos it weirdly only works quietly downstairs, but I've been learning this for way too long on the acoustic and it's about time I damn well did it, so I'm so glad I finally (just about) got through it in one take (those couple chords in the middle are awkward I know). I love the experience of learning songs I can play so much more passionately on the piano cos the technique doesn't get in the way on there, it's all memory, to play it on a new instrument and have all your focus on just putting your fingers in the right place while still trying to feel the song is… just an experience I wish all of you could have, it's exhilarating. Of course it often results in muck. I felt like this was at least not muck for once lol.

I just loved how they found this way to let Julianna say goodbye to everyone while not really saying goodbye to Stephanie as a character (cos what kind of business sense would that make lol).

Also the first one I've done with the new phone, accidentally had the settings on this epic wide angle but I kind of like it, I didn't even use the tripod, cos the new phone has more blocky edges and it sat firmly on top of the speaker even without even wobbling the whole song… so… the next videos will be better, but it's lovely to know this is what I can do when I'm half-assing it lol (I have a new computer too which makes the whole editing/posting workflow a ton quicker too!)

Never done a picture in picture mix like this so forgive all that… I'll get better (like, I should've sat further to the left in the guitar shot to better accommodate the piano shot etc…) … anyway, I finished grade 1 of @justinguitar's beginner course and this is the product and I'm really happy, he's an incredible teacher and I can't recommend him more and can't wait to get even better watching his videos. Oh yeh I know I played it a little fast too lol but I guess I was just anxious recording, I'll work on that too (it was weird playing the piano part and keeping up with myself).
