1:: Special Olympics Wisconsin 2024 Summer Games at UW-Whitewater

More than 1,400 athletes participated in track and field events, cornhole, soccer, powerlifting and tennis with support from over 400 volunteers running the event.

The Warhawks begin play in the national championship tournament on May 31, 2024 against Randolph-Macon.

Her experiences on campus ultimately led her back to her childhood stomping grounds, where she eventually established the multimillion-dollar social service agency Revive Youth & Family Services. She shared her inspiring story at UW-Whitewater’s spring commencement afternoon ceremony on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

UW-Whitewater's Warhawk Marching Band brought the energy to the Green Bay Packers halftime show featuring the songs “Come Alive” from “The Greatest Showman” and “The Club” from “In the Heights.” All 162 UWW band members and color guard performed in front of 77,432 fans on November 19, 2023.

10:: Warhawk thrives through community-based learning: A Spanish education journey

Through the university’s Community Based Learning (CBL) program, he found a way to bring his passion for teaching — and his ability to speak Spanish — to a local school, Washington Elementary. He continues his work at Washington, after he was hired before he graduated in December 2023 with a degree in elementary education and a minor in Spanish.

12:: Winter Commencement 2023 - Patrice Achu

A native of Cameroon, Achu received his third degree from UW-Whitewater, completing an educational path that includes a BBA in accounting in 2010 and an MBA in project management in 2020. He joins May 2023 graduate Eric Barber as one of two Warhawks in the school’s history to earn a DBA and two other degrees from UW-Whitewater. He is currently North American comptroller for Kerry Group, a public food company headquartered in Ireland.

13:: Winter Commencement 2023 - Barbara Kreisman

Since earning a Bachelor of Science in journalism and a minor in English in 1972, she has served in professional roles at Dell Computer, where she worked for 12 years in strategic human resources, organizational development and staffing, and in faculty and leadership roles at the University of Denver, where she spent more than 17 years as associate dean of the Executive MBA Program for the Daniels College of Business. Kriesman calls herself a retirement journeys Sherpa — someone who helps individuals transition to retirement at a time they may fear losing their identity, network of colleagues, importance, power and influence.
