The OMICRON MPC1 is a special protective transport case for PD testing applications on various electrical equipment. Its rugged design protects the PD measurement devices and external batteries contained inside the case from moisture, dust, and other harsh elements when performing PD testing outdoors or in industrial environments. It shows a test of the auto-reclosure (ARC) function with RelaySimTest and the Siemens SIPROTEC DigitalTwin and how an existing test plan for a physical protection system can be converted into a test plan for a virtual protection system by simply adding a Digital Twin connection that assigns all protection devices in the topology to the Digital Twin. If you want to test your physical protection system later, you only need to deactivate the Digital Twin connection and perform the test with your conventional test setup. In RelaySimTest, clear instructions guide you through the process of setting up the test with the SIPROTEC DigitalTwin, including logging into the Siemens Digital Twin environment, importing the SIM files of selected devices generated by DIGSI, uploading the state sequence XML file with the definition of analog and binary signals, and how to copy the API password to start the test.
