··· ··· ··· ··· Paddington Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Liverpool is now providing CT scans as well as MRI and ultrasound scans and blood tests for people who need vital health tests. The new CT scanner arrived in early September 2023. The service launched for patients on Monday 25th September 2023. Paddington CDC is run by The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of the NHS in Cheshire and Merseyside. It is helping the NHS in Cheshire and Merseyside provide earlier, faster diagnosis for people waiting for health tests and scans.

Ann had skin cancer, which spread to her brain, and it was spreading further despite treatment. She agreed to take part in a clinical trial for personalised treatment – oncolytic virotherapy – to shrink her tumours over time and now she has been able to finish it.
