In a distressing incident at a government school in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, a student was physically assaulted by a teacher for writing "Jai Shri Ram" on the blackboard. An FIR has been filed against the teacher and the principal under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Juvenile Justice Act. A committee, including officials from Bani, Kathua, and Kharote, is investigating the Kathua incident, as per the Deputy Commissioner's notification.
