Plus, if you can believe it, he played his entire 18 year career with a single club – Bayern Munich.
Let me introduce you to the great Sepp Maier. A goalkeeping legend who was so iconic and dominant that some people genuinely could not believe he was human. And if you think I’m exaggerating, his reflexes were so incredible, he was literally nicknamed ‘the cat’. I mean honestly, as un-intimidating as that might sound for some, in the context of goalkeeping, I don’t think there’s any other nickname that is truly as frightening. I mean, what has a faster reaction time in the animal kingdom than a cat? But for some reason, he's incredibly underrated and under appreciated and I'm here to change that.
