Roman Catholics, like "Catholic Truth", "Catholic Answers" and "Trent Horn", believe that the bible teaches purgatory but does it really? They claim that purgatory is a place where Christians are purged from their sinful desires by being tormented in fire. They reject the idea that Jesus sacrifice is enough to get us into heaven and they claim that giving money to the church is needed as well. This is clearly a money making scam and the Pope is living in luxury because of it. Most of the churches wealth has come from this false teaching and it needs to be exposed. Not only is the teaching of purgatory a money making scam, its a heretical doctrine that undermines the gospel of Jesus Christ. Roman Catholics will try hard to find a purgatory bible verse but there is none in scripture. The verses they use to support their false doctrine imply that we have to pay for some sins in purgatory and that we have to earn our forgiveness by suffering there. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Jesus paid for all our sins on the cross and we do not have to earn any forgiveness because Jesus has done it all for us on the cross. Those who truly believe in Christ for salvation (Christ alone) have been purified by the blood of Christ. Those who trust in their own works and those who believe they can pay for their sins in purgatory or earn off the sin debt in purgatory will end up in hell. Martin Luther and the Reformers rightly exposed purgatory for the money making scam that it is. The Reformers were not trying to start a new church, they were trying to reform the current church. So, is there a purgatory in the bible? The answer is no. In this video I prove it by examining the verses that Catholics use, specifically the verses the "Catholic Truth" channel uses, and I show that Roman Catholics are clearly wrong on this topic. Trent Horn and Catholic Answers also use these versus and by doing so he proves himself to be ignorant or a deceitful worker on iniquity.
