Sarah's Covenant Homes in Ongole, India houses 83 mentally and physically handicap children that have been abandoned by their families. They are abandoned for different reasons: One because the Hindu religion thinks it is a curse on the family when someone is born with special needs, or two because their families do not have enough money to take care of them. The kids are taken in at Sarah's Covenant Homes and LOVED beyond their understanding! Given the chance at life through doctors visits, medications, surgeries, schooling, etc.... but these things all add up on the budget!!
On Sunday the kids that are usually at school during the week are home to play with the other kids! Having 83 kiddos home to play makes Sarah's Covenant Homes the PLACE to BE on Sundays.... FUN for all... SUNDAY is FUNDAY! The smiles radiate off their faces and the joy excites everyone around them!
