Logan Dwight was formed in 1972 in Rome.
At first they played in a trio format called Genesi and consisted of singer Donatella Luttazzi, guitarists Gianni Merier and Francisco Ventura.
They were able to subscribe to RCA Delta, which gave them the opportunity to record several tracks.
They were helped by three musicians who then lived in Rome - bass guitarist Claudio Barbera, singer Alex Laigertwood (Camel), keyboard player Mike Fraser and drummer Derek Wilson. Their R & B style with a touch of rock turned out to be so interesting that even the organist BRIAN AUGER, who was often in Italy, was so impressed with the band that he offered Alex Lagerwood a place in his new band Oblivion Express.
Then Genesi was disbanded after a new contract was signed with Label's PDU.
It was also proposed a new name for the group - Logan Dwight, and another singer Federico De Andrea was also accepted.
Their only album was released in the same 1972. Keyboard player Toto Torcuati and flutist Carlo Tamponi helped with the recording.
All songs were performed in English in a combination of male and female voices.
The album included three tracks recorded with the old Genesi and frontman Alex Ligerwood.
For this reason, the album turned out to be rather non-uniform and also because orchestral arrangements were added to some tracks.
After the breakup of the band, vocalist / guitarist Federico De Andrea forms Libra.
