Navalny death: Yulia vows to continue husband's fight amid EU countries call for Russia sanctions

Global News European Union (EU) countries called on Monday for new sanctions on Moscow over the death of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, as they discussed a package of fresh penalties to mark two years of Russia's war on Ukraine.
“Member states will propose sanctions for sure against the (people) responsible, well, the great responsible is Putin himself,” EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell said.
“At the very least, we should be talking about sanctions first of all. We did that in the past. I mean, it's a horrible reminder that every time an opposition member is killed in Russia, Europe had sanctions packages,’ Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said.
Meanwhile, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Yulia Navalnaya, said in a video message that "I will continue the work of Alexei Navalny, continue to fight for our country," and added, "I ask you to share the rage with me. Rage, anger, hatred towards those who dared to kill our future."
