For today’s AI Friday I decided to expand my horizons as far was which AI bot I used. So today, I’m using a recipe created by Poe, an app put out by Quora. The prompt? Write a very weird sandwich recipe. That was it. And to be honest, this sounded like it would work with the exception of one ingredient. I think you’ll be able to pick up which one rather quickly.
Also, I’ve seen a number of comments off about AI chatbots are unethical, that they’re just plagiarizing. That’s not exactly how algorithms work. It is using large amounts of existing information to inform the output (kinda like we humans do but at much larger scale and faster). But it’s not like the recipe for the Berrylicious Bacon Bite was just floating out there and the algorithm simply copied/pasted. Don’t get me wrong, I am deeply concerned about AI becoming a threat in a general sense but we aren’t there yet. And hopefully will never get there through I am cautiously pessimistic about it tbh.

One of the students had some sliced strawberries on hand and added them to the mix, creating a unique flavor combination that they all loved. They named the sandwich after its standout ingredients and shared the recipe with their friends, who also became fans of the unusual creation. Word of the sandwich eventually spread beyond their circle of friends, and it became a local favorite at nearby cafes and delis.
