For this edition of SWS, we decided to balance high-class living with high-octane excitement. There's no better place in the world that balances these two things quite like the small principality of Monaco. Located along the sea in the South of France, Monaco has been home to Formula One racing's most prestigious and sought-after race since 1929. Since then, hundreds of racers have wrestled their cars around the streets of Monte Carlo with thousands more watching from their condo terraces, yacht decks, or grand stands.
Not only is the 1st place trophy for Monaco held as one of the brightest shining jewels in all of motorsport, but Monaco brings with it a sense of glamour, celebrity, style, and most of all, ridiculous amounts of money.
With that in mind, Sharon created this cocktail, Old Money in Monaco, to hopefully make us all feel like we're in the South of France watching the best racing drivers in the world compete for that sweet, sweet Monegasque glory.
This drink brings a variety of levels of freshness and refinement but also brings a beautifully silky texture. It is sure to give you a feeling of luxurious living while enjoying this weekend's race from your own living room.
INGREDIENTS:
► 2½ oz Bimini Coconut-infused Gin
► ½ oz
Dampfwerk Pfefferminz Liqueur
► 1 egg white or substitute
► 1¾ oz grapefruit juice
► ¼ oz fresh lime juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Add gin, peppermint liqueur, egg white, grapefruit juice, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker.
2. Dry shake (no ice)
3. Add ice & shake.
4. Strain into a coupe glass.
