Our next two doctrines up for survey are the doctrines of Christology (the study of Christ) and Soteriology (the study of salvation). These two doctrines go hand in hand and we must first understand who Jesus was as the Christ, the Son of God before we can even start having an understanding of how salvation functions for those who believe. Unfortunately, many professing believers today have a very sub-Biblical Christology and a painfully surface-level view of salvation. One of the problems with the Reddit Thread we looked at in the first video is the idea that the concept of salvation by faith alone (Sola Fide) is the reason why Christians are such hypocrites and that works based salvation makes much more sense. We'll address that and more in this video as well, but suffice it to say, salvation by grace through faith in no way provides one a reason to live any way they desire. So, let's get a better understanding of Christology and Soteriology going here.
