Die Lowland Brennerei Bladnoch bringt ihren ersten Peated Single Malt Whisky auf den Markt, der den Namen Alinta trägt. Übersetzt aus dem indigenen australischen bedeutet es so viel wie „Feuer“ oder „Flamme“. Dieser Lowland Singl Malt reifte in eine Kombination aus PX-Sherry-Fässern und ehemaligen Bourbon-Fässern - ohne Kühlfiltration oder Zugabe von Farbstoffen.
