Laney, a recently adopted shelter dog, seemed ecstatic to leave the kennel — until she suddenly refused to step out of the shelter's door with her new owner.
The staff were baffled, as Laney had always been eager for affection and a new home. But today, something was holding her back, an unseen force that none could understand.
Once one of the employees discovered the unexpected cause of Laney's reluctance, she knew there was no time to lose and immediately contacted 911.
As soon as Monica realized what was going on, she rushed into the office and locked the door behind her.
