The General Theory of Relativity, given by Albert Einstein, describes gravity properly. In this theory, gravity is described as a curvature in spacetime instead of force. Which is due to the uneven distribution of masses of stars, planets, and other heavy objects. And due to the curvature in spacetime, other objects start moving in geodesic lines as soon as they come close to it.
Well, in most cases gravity can be well approximated by Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation. In this law, gravity has been described as a force, due to which any two objects attract each other themselves, and their attraction depends on their masses and the distance between them.
