DISCLAIMER: I was frazzled and frustrated during this stream (blame my ADHD/anxiety lol), so I wasn't able to properly execute my attempted strategies, plus I apparently forgot to write a couple of things down before my stream! Thank god for followers who helped me keep my head on my shoulders :)
Is this the most effective strategy? I don't know. But it worked for me. Here's what I did:
Items you will need for this strategy:
-Nihopalaoa (1)
-Ribbon (at least 2)
-A LOT OF ELIXIRS
-Phoenix Downs (max amount)
-Prince's Kisses (you will need a lot, but not max amount)
-Remedies (at least six)
Summons/Espers:
-Zeromus
Necessary Magicks/Technicks/License Board tiles:
-Renew
-Sleep
-Remedy Lore 3
-Expose
-Wither
Set up that you should do beforehand:
1. Grinded to Level 99 (not required, but it helped)
2. Purchased the Zeromus tile on the License Board.
3. Purchase Renew (it helps if you were able to purchase this Magick for more than one character, which is possible, but depends on your class setup).
4. Set up one of your three gambit pages for these characters with ONLY these two gambits: "Ally Status = KO - Phoenix Down" and "Ally: less than 50% HP = Renew".
5. Set battle speed to Minimum/Slowest (do this at the start of Trial Mode 100).
Once Trial Mode 100 begins:
1. Equip a Nihopalaoa on someone with Remedy Lore 3 (your other characters should be equipped with Ribbons) and use Remedies on Ghis, Drace, and Bergen. (I used them on all six judges to afflict them all with status ailments, but these three can be Diseased and it is CRUCIAL you do so).
2. Once all the judges are afflicted with status ailments from the Remedies, either switch the Nihopalaoa character with a character that can cast Renew. OR, if all appropriate characters are already in your party, switch the Nihopalaoa accessory to a Ribbon.
3. Summon Zeromus and use Final Eclipse.
4. Use an Elixir, rinse, and repeat. (Keep summoning Zeromus.)
5. Once you are down to just Zargabaath and Gabranth, keep putting Zargabaath to sleep by either casting Sleep or by re-equipping the Nihopalaoa and using Prince's Kisses on him (I recommend the latter as it is faster and I don't think Prince's Kisses can miss where Sleep can). This will prevent Zargabaath from using Elixirs on Gabranth. It also helps to keep them separated (if possible) to prevent Zargabaath from using an Elixir on Gabranth after waking/before you can put him back to sleep.
6. Use Expose and Wither on Gabranth to whittle his Strength and Defense down (while keeping Zargabaath asleep), and once he is sufficiently nerfed, KILL HIM.
7. Zargabaath is easy as shit after all this work.
I know there are other strategies out there, and I'm sure some of these strategies are interchangeable, but this is what worked for me. :) To each their own, but I hope this helps someone! If it did, let me know!
