A Handmaid's Tale is a catalog of the worst of human nature. So too is 2 Chronicles 36 which tells of the downfall of Israel, and the sinfulness of our human nature. But the bible never dumps us with our sin and leaves us there, rather, it's always paired with God's solution to our sin - Jesus - such as in Ephesians 2:4-5
