TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.”

1. Honorable Vessels are Purged Vessels.
* The Treasure loaded in us is like Crude or other natural resources loaded in the earth - Matthew 13:44
* Crude is a treasure but only when refined does it become a valuable treasure.
* God has placed treasures in our earthen vessels but only when we subject ourselves to purging, refining, etc., will the treasure become fit for the Master’s use.
* There is no generation that will see a true revival without a thorough purging - Psalm 24:3-4/ 2 Chronicles 7:14

2. Honorable Vessels are Laboring Vessels
“Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.”

3. Honorable Vessels are Equipped
