We drove to Kosovo after the Albania tour completed. With only six people on the team, we dubbed this the ‘Five Loaves and Two Fish’ tour, looking to Jesus to multiply the little we had to offer.
We began the outreach with Alison, painter from Hong Kong; Margarita, painter from Ukraine; Wesley, actor from the United States; Samuel, a musician from Hong Kong ; Joel, aerialist from Canada; and Dave, tour leader from the United States.
Soon after we arrived, we hit the ground running for our first show in a park in the center of the city of Gjakove. Although the show started quite late as we figured out a mixed sound and electrical setup, about 100 stayed for the performance with 22 responding wanting to meet with someone to speak about Jesus. Some good conversations took place in the crowd afterwards.
The remaining four locations we performed in while we were in Kosovo were all in largely Roma villages around the city. These are areas where the Victory Church has been involved in outreach and creation of local groups with the goal of planting small house churches in these areas.
Three of the four were fairly attentive audiences of 100 to 150 in each village, with a good number of joyful, playful children in every crowd. There were a number of conversations with the people from the church who came with us that will lead to meeting with people to talk more about Jesus.
