How to tame birds. Part 1 - Siskin and common redpoll on my hand

When I want to lure birds like this onto my hand for the first time, I hide behind the inside, behind the open window. I take the food bowl away, put a few grains on my hand and place my hand outside where the bowl with the food was previously. So the hand is the new bowl and the birds can only see my arm. My body is inside my apartment, well hidden behind the window. I just reach around the window frame from the inside out. The birds fly in my hand, sit on my hand and start to eat. Now I move my hand carefully into my field of vision. As soon as the birds see me, they realize that they are not sitting in a bowl. Sometimes a bird becomes restless and flies away. But as soon as one remains seated, everyone else sees that it is safe and that I do not eat it. Then they all come and want to eat too. After a few seconds they are cool with me and accept me. From then on I can stand up openly and offer my hand. I can even move, not too fast, but moderately. If I hold my hand open the next day, they'll know how to interpret the invitation and come to me. In the days after that, they'll fly to me if they only see me.
Zuerst habe ich die Vögel an meine Futterschale gewöhnt. Dann habe ich das Rollo herunter gelassen und mich dahinter versteckt, so dass ich direkt hinter dem Fester stehen, die Vögel mich aber nicht sehen konnten. Die Balkontür blieb frei, sie wurde nicht verdeckt und stand ein wenig offen. Dann habe ich die Schale weg genommen und stattdessen meine Hand genau an die Stelle gelegt, an der zuvor die Futterschale stand. Dafür habe ich um das Fenster herum nach draußen gegriffen, so dass die Vögel nur meine Hand und meinen Arm gesehen haben. Mein Körper blieb vom Rollo verdeckt, in der Wohnung. Es hat nicht lange gedauert, bis die Vögel genau an der Stelle nach Futter gesucht haben, wo zuvor die Futterschale stand. Ich habe meine Hand vollkommen ruhig gehalten und mich nicht bewegt. Erst als ich spürte, dass ein Vogel darauf sitzt und er sich mit einem anderen Vogel um das Futter streitet, habe meine Hand langsam und vorsichtig bewegt. Ich habe sie immer weiter in meinen Gesichtskreis gebracht, so dass ich die Vögel endlich sehen konnte. In diesem Moment haben sie auch mich gesehen und erkannt, dass sie nicht in einer Schale sondern auf meiner Hand sitzen. Für einen Moment hat es sie beunruhigt und sie sind davon geflogen. Aber gleich darauf waren zwei Vögel wieder da und haben weiter gefressen. Als die anderen sahen, dass es sicher ist und dass ich sie nicht fresse, sind auch die anderen Vögel zurück gekommen und jetzt gab es kein Halten mehr. Sie haben mich adoptiert und in ihre Familie aufgenommen. Voller Vertrauen saßen sie auf meiner Hand und haben sich nicht mehr dafür interessiert, dass ich ein Mensch bin. Nur noch das Futter war interessant. Insgesamt hat es noch nicht einmal 5 Minuten gedauert, bis sie mir vertrauten.
