Prayer of Confession
Merciful God, we humble ourselves in your presence, confessing our unworthiness and sinfulness in your sight. We don’t always put your kingdom or your righteousness first. We are often anxious and troubled about many things. Open the eyes of our heart O Lord, that we might see you afresh and hear you anew. Cause us to abound more in faith, love, and understanding. Fill us with your Spirit. Cleanse us from our secret faults. Restore to us the joys of our salvation. We ask all this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
