SLASPA Clarifies Barrel Concession Guidelines.(November 29TH 2023)
MBC PRIME NEWS - SAINT LUCIA The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) sheds light on regulations concerning prohibited items, emphasizing the active role of the Customs and Excise Department in ensuring compliance.
SLASPA Communications Officer, Peter Lewis, revealed that from November 1st, 2023, to February 28th, 2024, barrels and boxes will be exempt from VAT for individuals on the island, leading to an increase in the declared value of items within the barrel, now capped at $3000 EC.
