I am glad that you are interested in the quality of a winter jacket and also in the proper care. I show here my new jacket, which I bought anticyclically already in August, so I have summer clothes underneath. This has the advantage that the prices are cheaper than in winter, but everyone must know for themselves when they want to shop. A winter jacket is an important companion in the cold season and should therefore be cleaned and maintained regularly. To properly wash and dry your winter jacket, follow these steps: Look at the care label inside your winter jacket. There you will find the manufacturer's instructions on how to wash and dry your jacket. Pay particular attention to the maximum washing temperature, the spin speed and the drying event. Choose a suitable detergent for your winter jacket. Depending on the material, this can be a mild detergent, a down detergent or a special functional detergent. Refrain from using fabric softener, as this can cause the fibers to stick together and impair breathability. Close all zippers and Velcro closures of your winter jacket and empty all pockets. Put the jacket in the washing machine and choose an appropriate program. If your jacket is made of down, you can additionally add a few tennis balls to the drum to loosen up the down. Take the jacket out of the washing machine and shake it out vigorously. Hang the jacket on a hanger to dry or lay it flat on a towel. If your jacket is suitable for tumble drying, you can also put it in the tumble dryer. Make sure the jacket is completely dry before putting it away.
