In this Carbon pizza oven review, I’ll show you everything from unboxing, features, preheat tests, and most importantly, the performance while cooking a variety of pizzas (both NY style and Neapolitan).
The Carbon offers an impressive dual burner design with separate heat controls for each. I found myself simply enjoying both of them on high - at least when cooking Neapolitan style. It cooks a really solid pizza and the bottom burner does exactly as it should - keeps the stone hot between bakes. But I still find myself thinking about the price ($700). For a bit more, you can get the Ooni Karu 16 which offers a bigger cooking area and multiple fuel options with a very similar style torch burner. But that's just me - I like the flexibility. If you're set on the Carbon, you will not be disappointed in its performance.
