News Central TV The Nigerian government has launched the Gas Supply Stabilisation Fund to address timely payments for gas supplied to the power sector.
In a recent statement, the Nigerian Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, also announced measures to reduce the cost of liquefied petroleum gas, also known as cooking gas. This intervention comes in response to significant price increases in LPG, which have impacted the sector. According to the minister, the government's focus is on increasing upstream gas production, promoting domestic use of LPG, and completing major gas infrastructure projects.He stated further that the objective is to ensure cost-reflective gas pricing that stimulates investments
