In this installment of the Keeping it Simple series, I walk you through my preferred method for coiling shorter lengths of line so they're ready to use whenever I take them from my pack. I've now gone over coiling long (10 ft +), medium (4-10 ft), and short (3 ft & less) lengths of line. I prefer coiling different lengths of line in different ways so that I know how long each piece is before I unravel it. Since these coiling methods are very easy to unravel, I can determine how long a length of line is and have it unraveled even if it's it's dark, wet, and cold.
