What kind of return on investment are you getting for your donations? How much treasure in heaven for that pipe organ or chandelier? Doesn't it occur to you that it would please Jesus more to reach the lost or care for the widows or a mobile soup kitchen? How can you not see that we have enough gold-encrusted cathedrals already and what we need is to raise up an army of well-funded people to go reach the lost all over the world? Romans 12:1-2 says that you're not going to know what God really wants until you STOP "conforming to the image of this world." If the Christians try to make the church into a business, how is that not carnal?
