KEYWORDS
KEY WORDS are words used for SEO (search engine optimization). Instagram algorithms work like an SEO platform . KEYWORDS is what the algorithm uses to now place your content on explore feeds, “for you” pages, suggested content and your follower’s feed🥷
• In summary, adding niche and relevant keywords (related to your content type) to your post will help the algorithm sort it to the people who want to see it.
But don’t hashtags do that? -
Not anymore. For over a decade hashtags was the algorithms way of sorting content. But over time hashtags have been over saturated, limiting growth for creators, making it extremely difficult for your content to be seen.
People use social media to search specific needs and they do that on Google as well. So, naturally, social media Apps have evolved to an SEO platform, similar to Google.

Head over to your search bar and type “social media”, you will see different categories: For you, accounts, audio, tags, places. Hashtags have now been placed into ONE spot, “tags”. And it’s the ONLY way users can find your content, unless they’re following hashtags (but let’s be real who actually follows hashtags anymore???)
• HOW TO USE KEYWORDS: add 2-3 on your reels text (or hide them at the bottom of your reels) and add 5-7 keywords in your caption!
RULE OF THUMB: only use 3-4 hashtags per post!
