Love that we have an East Coast Pizzeria here in Chicago that Kicks Ass!
The TEST is always the just Cheese Pizza for any Pizzeria. I want to see it, smell it and of course taste it. The first bite of the just cheese pizza from Max and Issy's was outstanding! This is what I look for in a food experience. That first bite! Crust, Sauce and Cheese. Everything is in balance, the Crust( two day cold ferment) was perfectly baked, The Sauce sings with the tomato brightness/ freshness you look for and the cheese delivers the final flavor Punch! Just incredible, Isn't it Wild that you could say that about a 3 ingredient pizza? I miss this Cheese Pizza already. ( It was my Favorite)
Other Delicious things to order before leaving:
The Meatballs ( Pat's Wife is 100% Italian and this her's Families recipe) So Tender and a Powerhouse of Flavor. Could not stop eating them!
White Pizza: Trust me you need this. The Ricotta is wonderful and The Garlic is subtle but so excellent on this Pizza.
The Hot Honey Pepper Pizza: So many layers of delicious Flavors and Pat the Owner uses a local Honey Company called The Hive for this Pizza
Beer and Cocktails! All were Outstanding!
