There are three types of forgiveness: redemptive forgiveness, restorative forgiveness and relational forgiveness. Learn how to embrace true freedom in forgiveness.
Question 1: Some people think that if they do not seek for forgiveness from someone whom they have trespassed against, they might not go to heaven. What do you think? Discuss.
Question 2: Many Christians continue to live in denial that they have hurts or unresolved issues within them. They fail to acknowledge these hurts. In fact, they are afraid to face the pain because it would intensify the hurt feeling. After the initial offence, the pain they feel inside continues to fester. In the long run, this pain inside will become self-inflicted wounds. Discuss.
Question 3: Jesus has given us the commandment of freedom: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31). Share how you can embrace this freedom in forgiveness.
