National Weather Service confirms EF-1 tornado in Portage County: Team coverage

WKYC Channel 3 The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Windham on Thursday night as severe weather made its way through Portage County. At least four other tornadoes have been confirmed in Ohio.
Data from the National Weather Service indicates that a tornado touched down in Windham between 6:45 p.m. and 6:51 p.m., beginning near the intersection of state Route 303 and Stanley Road.
The storm's estimated peak winds were 110 miles per hour. Several homes were heavily damaged, including two having shifted off of their foundations. No injuries were reported as a result of the tornado.
The Portage County tornado also impacted three tractor trailers on the Ohio Turnpike, closing the highway for roughly three hours.
