Virginia184 Ένας απ' τους βασικούς στόχους του εκπαιδευτικού συστήματος της Φινλανδίας είναι να παρέχει στήριξη σε κάθε μαθητή ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες του, ώστε να έχουν όλοι ίσες ευκαιρίες στην εκπαίδευση. Γιατί όλοι χρειάζονται, όλοι είναι σημαντικοί.
Έχοντας λοιπόν αποκτήσει σημαντικές βασικές γνώσεις στο κοινοτικό σχολείο, στην ηλικία των 16 χρόνων οι μαθητές μπορούν να συνεχίσουν τις σπουδές τους επιλέγοντας να φοιτήσουν στις επαγγελματικές σχολές ή στο Λύκειο. Πώς λειτουργεί όμως το Λύκειο; Διαφέρει απ' το κοινοτικό σχολείο; Έχει ομοιότητες με το ελληνικό Λύκειο; Τι μαθαίνουν; Πώς περνάνε στο πανεπιστήμιο;
Με σκοπό να γνωρίσουμε από κοντά τον τρόπο λειτουργίας του, η ομάδα μας, επισκέφθηκε το δημόσιο Λύκειο Leppävaaran lukio στην περιοχή Espoo κοντά στο Ελσίνκι.

One of the most important features in the educational system in Finland is the philosophy which is based on the principle that everyone is needed. That is why every student must be offered the necessary support so that he can develop himself to a useful citizen of the society.
So after having acquired basic knowledge in the Comprehensive School, students can follow their education at the age of 16 by choosing their school career either at the professional schools or the Lyzeum. Does it differ from the Comprehensive School? What do they learn there? How can they go to the University? Aiming to get to know better the function of the Lyzeum, we visited the public Lyzeum Leppävaaran lukio in the region of Espoo, near Helsinki.
